We have been looking for a more permanent space to rent for our campus and have been coming up dry. We really need space that we can access 24/7 and not just on Sundays and it is keeping us from growing right now. We have looked into every available retail space and come up dry now we are looking into office space. There are no available places for rent other than that or the schools. so Please be praying that we would find something soon.
We are just finishing a series called "Emotionally Healthy Spirituality" a sermon series we have done in conjunction with our community groups going through Peter Scazzero's book with the same title. It has been life changing not just for our people but for Kim and I as well! I would strongly encourage all of you tor read the book if you haven't. It is raw, honest and VERY GOOD!
Lou (my associate pastor) and I have been taking Perspectives this semester. As many of you know it is really good and while most of it is not new information for me I had never officially taken the course and have been asked to do so because they are wanting me to help teach it, especially in Spanish. While it isn't necessarily new information it is great to review it in such a concise and well designed fashion. It has restrengthened my passion for U.P.G.'s and our need to be reaching them. As Kim and I process all of this we have felt a tremendous sense of responsibility to raise our boys to know and have passion for reaching the lost and unreached as well. With this in mind we feel like God is calling us to take our family along with me to work with our U.P.G's the next time I go. This is a little scary and physically, spiritually and financially overwhelming. However the benefit of our boys experiencing a 3rd world culture and a muslim culture at that right as they enter their teen years we feel is vital to us raising them with a passion for God's glory and sharing that glory with the unreached.
We won't be going to South East Asia until 2017 and even though it is 18 months away there is much to be done. We will have to get the boys passports, vaccinations, culture training for being in a muslim country, and Spiritually preparing them and ourselves. This will also give us 18 months to try and scrape and save (sell some blood and who knows what else) so that we can afford to take them to the other side of the world for a couple of weeks.
As you know from previous posts, one of the things we do over there is minister to missionary families. I can think of no better way to do that than to bring my family. It communicates trust, it communicates importance and priority, it lets them know that they matter so much to us that we want our boys to walk a day or 14 in their shoes. And the rewards for us and our boys are innumerable!
Would you please join us in prayer for wisdom, provision and good stewardship over the next 18 months as we get ready for this adventure?
To help you have a little more insight to where we go and who we work with I am posting the link to a great friend of ours who works undercover over there. He just became ill last week and this is the first blog entry since leaving the hospital on Saturday. in His blog there is also a video at the end that shows you what he does as a cover so that he can be in country.
PLEASE DO NOT SHARE OR REPOST THIS BLOG LINK OR HIS BLOG LINK OR THE VIDEO AS IT COULD COMPROMISE HIM AND HIS FMAILY!

Pray for Him and His family as they navigate the struggles of living out the gospel in a muslim country.
Thank you all for your prayers and support! It is so vital for us!
